Patients stay in comfortable wards with unlocked doors; parents’ presence is a must.

In-patient treatment lasts from 4 to 8 weeks and consists of a number of consecutive stages.

 

Stage 1. Overcoming physical dependence on drugs through intensive de-intoxication by pharmacotherapy as well as by non-medication treatment:

accelerated dieresis, introduction of opiate receptors blocker – ganglionic blockers, neuroleptics, tranquillizers, antidepressant medication, laser irradiation of the blood (extra- , and intra-corporal), as well as needle reflexotherapy (NRT), symptomatic therapy, etc. This stage lasts from 3 to 5 days.

 

Stage 2. Overcoming psychological dependence on drugs by means of a complex of psychotherapeutic methods.

The main, and the one actually determining positive effect, is a massive super stressful hypnotherapy in its authoritarian form. Within deep trance, in the patient’s subconscious mind a “mirror reflection” of his/her individual image of drug dependence is created which is followed by a psychological coding of the ban of the recurrence to any drug.

In this process, emotional states of fear, anxiety, panic, pain, “death” and “death of drugs” are employed. Phased as well as sub-psychotic and functional psychotic conditions, developed during the séance, are accompanied by the catalepsy, falls, convulsions and stupefaction. Aversion to narcotics which culminates in “catharsis” is being developed by means of the increasing influence upon the patient.

 

To intensify the super-stress of the séance, the electro-convulsive therapy in pre-coma parameters during which the electric discharge is accompanied by the verbal “code” – “narcotic is death” is conducted. In such a way in the brain, a dominant is being created which helps to destroy a drug-edict’s “I”, drug-edict’s sub-personality.

A programme of psychological tests accompanied by a computer analysis of the results and methods of treatment has been developed and successfully implemented. It comprises methods of classical psychoanalysis, gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, neuro-linguistic programming, and rational psychotherapy.

Special attention is paid to making patients ready for the main psychotherapeutic event – super-stressful neuroinduction. With this end in view, our modification of holotropic breathwork is used before the séances as well as in the intervals between them.

Autogenic training, meditation and concentration are widely used as psychotherapeutic means. With the aim of increasing psychotherapeutic influence, “video-therapy” (watching video-records of the previous séances and other techniques, documentaries and feature anti-drug videos) is employed. With the same aim, psychotherapeutic work with the parents is carried out.

Such procedures as physiotherapy, chiropractice, massage, physical culture (in a specially equipped gym), which are accompanied by psycho- and music therapy, are also employed. This is the main stage of the treatment which takes the majority of time.

 

3Stage 3. Rehabilitation, restoration of the patient’s personality.

 

This process begins at the very moment of the patients enrolment into the clinic and lasts till the discharge from it, actually concurring with all the other procedures.

Rehabilitation consists of activities influencing the patient’s personality and behaviour. These activities include bodybuilding, martial arts, boxing, aerobics and yoga classes conducted by certified instructors. Thus the patients form the habits of healthy life and see its positive aspects. Due to our observations, some patients are becoming keen on sport and continue to work-out after returning home.

Over the week-ends, we organize excursions around the city, visit historical places, cinema theatres; in the summer trips along the Dnieper river are part of the programme. For some patients watching a movie in a sober state, noticing a tree leaf, or observing a river is an absolutely new experience. After excursions they discuss their impressions with excitement and admiration. They start noticing things they have been missing for quite a time.

Gradually, they restore the ability to fall in love, to hear good music, to be surprised by nice things. Many call the clinic their second home or maternity home.

 

The doctors and the staff are united by the belief that drug addiction is treatable and are working consistently to achieve positive results, which makes relapse quite rare. In such a way, specially trained doctors, nurses and staff members solve a dual task: on the one hand, they demonstrate to the patient incompatibility of his addiction with his personality, and on the other hand, help him rediscover the healthy seeds remained.

Computerized database of the patients allows us to follow up. We get letters from our former patients with their life stories; they come to visit us, call to ask advice on their life situations, not on drugs.

 

Stage 4. Biological coding with the help of different varieties of “sera” and “capsules”.

In effect, this is the final stage of the treatment. The process of coding preparation and conducting is a powerful informational and psychotherapeutic complex comprising the following components:

 

A) Estimation of the patient’s readiness to coding,

considering both his somatic and psychological state by the time of the treatment completion: his assuredness in quitting drugs, consent to coding and its terms, the state of his cardio-vascular system, liver and other internal parts of the body as assessed by the methods of (computed tomography, electroencephalography, echo-encephalography, reo-encephalography).

 

c) Intramuscular injection

of 10,0 – 20,0 ml of the “serum” or “capsule” stitched in for the coding term from 3 months to 5 years. The amount of the serum injected depends on the level of psycho-somatic preparedness

 

d) Provocation.

 Sometimes, with the patient’s or accompanying person’s consent, it is necessary to “provoke” the patient that is to check out the power and effectiveness of the injected serum. It is necessary in the cases when there is not enough certainty that the patient, in general ready to coding, would not try other means – alcohol, medicine or marihuana.

 

The very procedure of provocation is a rather painful experience for the patient that he will never forget; it creates in his conscience and sub-conscience the fear of death from drugs. In the majority of cases, the patients speak later about the “second birth”.

The analysis of more than 1000 patients treatment demonstrates that positive results constitute from 65% to 85%.

The majority of the patients have been young males. They came from different countries – Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Greece, and Israel. They learned about the clinic not from the advertisement but by word of mouth, primarily from the former drug addicts, who quitted in the result of the treatment they had got in the clinic and did not relapse, or their relatives.
